Basketball Recap: South Holt Comes Up Short

South Holt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 38th straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 96-29 to the Nodaway-Holt Trojans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 461st, while the Trojans are ranked 71st).

South Holt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Nodaway-Holt, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

South Holt has already played their next matchup, a 96-29 loss against Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt] on the 13th. As for Nodaway-Holt, they will square off against North Nodaway at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
