For the second straight game, Excelsior Charter will face off against Big Bear. The Eagles will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Bears at 3:15 p.m. Excelsior Charter is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.7 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Excelsior Charter turned things around against Big Bear on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Bears by a score of 12-8.

Rylie Hunsaker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tristen Gonzalez was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. April Corradino was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Big Bear is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6. As for Excelsior Charter, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-7-1.
