Softball Recap: Robbinsville Black Knights vs. Corvian Community Cardinals

With a playoff game on the line, Robbinsville rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They never let the Corvian Community Cardinals onto the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Robbinsville might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 17 contests by six runs or more this season.

Naomi (Watiyeli) Taylor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Taylor has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive pitching appearances. Taylor was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Sophie (Lou) Roberts was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Zoie (Z) Shuler, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

The win (which was Robbinsville's 15th in a row) raised their record to 21-2. As for Corvian Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-13.
