League recap: Pacifica scores huge upset over Oxnard

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pacifica, who defeated 506th ranked Oxnard, 24-21. Mike Moraga threw for 121 yards and ran for 79 yards in the win.

Brad Borodaty of Rio Mesa ran for the longest rushing play in Pacific View this season against Camarillo last week. Borodaty's team fell to the Scorpions as he sprinted for 165 yards on the play and finished with 21 in all.

Moraga provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Tritons defeated the Yellowjackets. Moraga's key target this week was Deondre Vines, who caught 3 passes for 52 yards.

Chris Nichols was the best receiver in the league this week as Hueneme fell to Channel Islands. Nichols racked up 5 receptions for 89 yards. Joey Madrigal helped Hueneme's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 69 yards.

The leading receiver in the league this season is Vines. The Pacifica star has 42 catches for 993 yards.

Pacifica's Vines needs only 7 receiving yards against Serra to crack 1,000 for the season. He has recorded 42 catches for 993 yards this year.

Camarillo extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Rio Mesa, 43-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for Jack Willard's team.
