Basketball Game Preview: Wiregrass Ranch Bulls vs. Berkeley Prep Buccaneers

Two dominant guards in Andralee Keim and Madeline Dean are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Wiregrass Ranch Bulls will be playing at home against the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wiregrass Ranch will be strutting in after a win while Berkeley Prep will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Wednesday, Wiregrass Ranch earned a 42-32 victory over Gulf. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulls.

Wiregrass Ranch got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tennae Cabral out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Cabral is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Keim, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 11 points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Berkeley Prep came up short against Palm Harbor University on Thursday and fell 59-50.

Wiregrass Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Berkeley Prep, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Wiregrass Ranch came out on top in a nail-biter against Berkeley Prep in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, sneaking past 51-48. Will Wiregrass Ranch repeat their success, or does Berkeley Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
