Soccer Recap: East Wilkes Takes a Loss

East Wilkes fought the good fight in their overtime match against North Stokes on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that East Wilkes have lost by just one goal.

East Wilkes dropped their record down to 5-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for North Stokes, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Wilkes will square off against West Iredell at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Stokes, they will face off against South Stokes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
