Volleyball Recap: Philip Simmons Gets the Win

The Philip Simmons Iron Horses beat the Aiken Fighting Green Hornets 2-0 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Iron Horses.

Philip Simmons easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19.

Gabby Kakalev paced Philip Simmons' offense, picking up ten kills. Kakalev got some help from Dani Gehringer and her ten assists. Finally, Arden Brooks kept Philip Simmons' defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Philip Simmons' victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Aiken, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Philip Simmons has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Summerville on the 26th. As for Aiken, they will challenge Airport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
