Assumption is a perfect 8-0 against Clinton since June of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Knights will head out to take on the River Kings at 5:00 p.m. Assumption's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Clinton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Assumption proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 13) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Pleasant Valley 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Clinton fell victim to Cascade and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 12-0 to the Cougars.

Clinton has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Assumption, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.

Everything went Assumption's way against Clinton when the teams last played back in June of 2025, as Assumption made off with a 21-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
