Utica was the 9-5 winner over Utica Eisenhower when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Chieftains fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The Chieftains just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Ava Brunning and Rachel Durecki stepped up to the plate in a big way. Brunning got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, while Durecki went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Brunning has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Gaby Vitale, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Utica's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Utica Eisenhower, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6.
