Soccer Recap: Ford Comes Up Short

Ford lost against Caddo Mills back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Ford Panthers came up short against the Caddo Mills Foxes, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 658th, while the Foxes are ranked 281st).

Ford is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6-4. As for Caddo Mills, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ford will venture away from home to square off against Community at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Community is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season. As for Caddo Mills, they will head out on the road to take on Kemp at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Caddo Mills' defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Kemp's offense will have their work cut out for them.
