Basketball Recap: St. Paul Lutheran Comes Up Short

St. Paul Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 42-30 to the Crest Ridge Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, with their most recent defeat being a 51-46 loss last Thursday.

Leading Crest Ridge to victory were Brilynn Fleming and Laney Wilhite. Fleming almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Wilhite dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave Fleming a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynn Fleming, who posted four points and seven assists.

St. Paul Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Crest Ridge, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-5.

St. Paul Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crest Ridge, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 34-16 loss against Archie on the 1st.
