Football Game Preview: Miami Warriors vs. Paducah Dragons + How To Watch

The Miami Warriors will face off against the Paducah Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Paducah will be up against a hot Miami squad: the team just extended their winning streak to ten. The Warriors blew past Groom, posting a 52-6 victory. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Tigers are ranked 244th) , the win on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Miami's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Kotara, who rushed for 55 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 39 yards and a pair of TDs. Noah Homfeld was Kotara's top target, picking up 27 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 37 yards and one touchdown.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Homfeld, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Paducah, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They claimed a resounding 64-6 victory over Hedley. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Owls recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Paducah's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Miami, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.

Everything came up roses for Miami against Paducah in their previous matchup back in September of 2023, as the team secured a 56-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
