Basketball Recap: KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Find Success

After losing to Carver the last time they met, KIPP Atlanta Collegiate decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors slipped by the Carver Panthers 45-44 on Thursday.

Carver's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amiyah Floyd, who posted 13 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Malaya Green, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Carver, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate will take on Coretta Scott King YWLA at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carver, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 31-30 loss against Washington on the 17th.
