Baseball Recap: Lenoir City Comes Up Short

Lenoir City lost against Heritage back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 9-2 to the Mountaineers.

Lenoir City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Branson Dean, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Dean has hit this season.

Lenoir City has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-20 record this season. As for Heritage, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lenoir City is set to challenge their familiar foe Sequoyah at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Heritage will take on rival South-Doyle at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
