Basketball Recap: Riverside Prep Takes a Loss

Riverside Prep came up into this matchup off a tough 21-point defeat last Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Sultana Sultans by a score of 52-50 on Friday. The Silver Knights have struggled against the Sultans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Riverside Prep's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Sultana, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-12.

Riverside Prep will welcome Big Bear at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Big Bear knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Riverside Prep likes a good challenge. As for Sultana, they will head out to challenge Burroughs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Burroughs has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 186 points over their last three matchups.
