Soccer Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Bishop Blanchet Bears. While losing is never fun, Lakeside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while Bishop Blanchet are ranked fifth).

Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Bishop Blanchet, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 10-0-1.

Coming up, Lakeside will take on Garfield at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop Blanchet, they will be playing in front of their home fans against O'Dea at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
