Marin Catholic has gone a perfect 10-0 against Tamalpais recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. Marin Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Tamalpais at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Tamalpais will be up against a hot Marin Catholic team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Marin Catholic was the clear victor by an 18-1 margin over Novato on Wednesday. The matchup marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season so far.

Malliah Foster was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Marin Catholic got a massive performance out of Morgan Carlson, who went 4-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs Carlson has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Anna Held, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.

Marin Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .649. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Tamalpais made sure to put some runs up on the board against Terra Linda on Friday. Tamalpais was the clear victor by a 13-4 margin over Terra Linda. While the Red Tailed Hawks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The victory made it two in a row for Tamalpais and bumps their season record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Marin Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Marin Catholic skirted past Tamalpais 4-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Does Marin Catholic have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tamalpais turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
