Volleyball Recap: Northeastern Bobcats vs. Meadville Bulldogs
Northeastern lost against Meadville on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Northeastern fell just short of Meadville by a score of 1-0.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Northeastern sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-18.
Hugh Rogers paced Northeastern's offense, picking up two kills. Rogers got some help from Jacob Zambito and his three assists. Finally, Rogers was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-2. As for Meadville, the victory (which was their 16th in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Northeastern Bobcats take on William Penn Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Meadville, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Saegertown at 7:15 p.m. on April 1.
