Haynes Academy had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They blew past the Frederick A. Douglass Bobcats 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Haynes Academy also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Haynes Academy was: they took every set by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-7, 25-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Haynes Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ella Feehan, who had seven aces. Those seven aces gave Feehan a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Marilyn Voitier, who had nine kills, four digs, and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Haynes Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matches.

Haynes Academy's record is now 13-1. As for Frederick A. Douglass, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Haynes Academy will venture away from home to square off against Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Frederick A. Douglass, they will host Landry at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
