Softball Game Preview: Westwood Warriors vs. Shadow Ridge Stallions

The Westwood Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Shadow Ridge Stallions at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Westwood has given up an average of 9.5 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Westwood's offense. They lost 11-0 to Red Mountain on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Shadow Ridge beat West Point 7-2 on Thursday. The Stallions haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Westwood's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8-1. As for Shadow Ridge, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

Westwood suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Shadow Ridge in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
