Evansville Memorial and Cathedral squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Evansville Memorial had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Fighting Irish by a score of 4-2. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Evansville Memorial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Annie Blackburn, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Evansville Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Cathedral, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 28-2.

As of now, neither Evansville Memorial nor the Fighting Irish have any future games scheduled.
