Softball Recap: Horseshoe Bend Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

While Horseshoe Bend's victory against Reeltown wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Horseshoe Bend skirted past Reeltown 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Generals have posted against the Rebels since April 6, 2023.

Horseshoe Bend's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Madison Smith, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The win (which was Horseshoe Bend's fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Reeltown, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-6.

Horseshoe Bend didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-4 win against Childersburg on the 29th. As for Reeltown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Loachapoka at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Loachapoka will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Reeltown surely won't give up without a fight.
