Baseball Recap: Skyview Academy Wins Going Away Against Denver Academy

SkyView Academy not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25th (when they won 33-4). They put the hurt on the Denver Academy Mustangs with a sharp 26-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won seven in a row.

SkyView Academy got a massive performance out of Chris Gallegos, who went 4-for-5 with eight RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those four hits gave Gallegos a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logen Meyers, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs.

SkyView Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .707. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

SkyView Academy's record now sits at 9-4. As for Denver Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. SkyView Academy will face off against Fort Lupton at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks are facing the Bluedevils at the right time seeing as the Bluedevils are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Denver Academy, they will square off against Lyons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
