Soccer Game Preview: Wayne Country Day vs. Faith Christian

The Wayne Country Day Chargers will take on the Faith Christian Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wayne Country Day will be strutting in after a win while Faith Christian will be coming in after a loss.

Faith Christian will be up against a hot Wayne Country Day squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Chargers never let Wayne Preparatory Academy get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Tuesday. Wayne Country Day might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Wayne Preparatory Academy with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Thomas Gay, Clem Livengood, Hilton Adams, and Charles Boyd.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harrells Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Faith Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 453rd, while Harrells Christian Academy are ranked 164th).

Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Wayne Country Day, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Wayne Country Day skirted past Faith Christian 1-0 in their previous meeting on September 2nd. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
