Baseball Recap: Northland Gets the Win

Northland never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against East on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 14-9. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won nine in a row.

Jarrod Singleton Jr was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Darian Busby also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Northland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Northland now has a winning record of 7-6-1. As for East, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Northland has already played their next matchup, a 0-0 win against Beechcroft on the 7th. As for East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 16-4 victory against Columbus International on the 5th.
