At the plate, Jordan Mccarthy was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colleton County). They put the hurt on Hilton Head Island with a sharp 20-1 win on Friday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Seahawks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Breanna Gerard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That run marked the first that she has scored this season.
In other batting news, Alexa Eversole was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Janay Manigo, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Colleton County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.
The win got Colleton County back to even at 4-4. As for Woodland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
