Hayden Porteous put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April on Friday. He struck out four batters over four innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Even though Porteous couldn't lead Mt. Shasta over Modoc, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
