Basketball Recap: Butler Takes a Loss

After soaring to 57 points the game before, Butler was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Chadwick Cardinals and fell 72-19. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 430th, while the Cardinals are ranked 98th).

This is the second loss in a row for Butler and nudges their season record down to 4-10. As for Chadwick, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Butler will welcome Lockwood at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Lockwood will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Butler surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chadwick, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Chadwick Cardinals take on the Everton Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on January 29th.
