Basketball Recap: LeRoy-Ostrander Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when LeRoy-Ostrander faced off against Goodhue on Saturday. The LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals were beaten by the Goodhue Wildcats 86-50. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

LeRoy-Ostrander's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Reid Hungerholt, who went 7 of 15 en route to 17 points along with five boards and four steals, and Camden Hungerholt, who posted 14 points and five rebounds. Reid has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played.

LeRoy-Ostrander's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Goodhue, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

LeRoy-Ostrander will face off against Kingsland at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. LeRoy-Ostrander is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.7 points per game this season. As for Goodhue, they will challenge Blooming Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Goodhue knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Blooming Prairie likes a good challenge.
