Kalamazoo Christian waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Gobles Tigers 15-1. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by seven runs or more this season.
Carien Ybema made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
