Basketball Recap: Joseph Dickson Key Part of Team Effort in Toreadors Win

There's no place like home for Taft, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 65-55 victory over the Laguna Hills Hawks on Saturday. The win was some much needed relief for the Toreadors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Taft's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joseph Dickson, who posted 20 points. Dickson's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was James ?BJ? Evans, who had 16 points.

Taft's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Laguna Hills, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-4.

Coming up, Taft will square off against St. Paul at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Toreadors will be up against the Swordsmen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 72.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Laguna Hills, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mission Viejo at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
