Basketball Recap: Matthias Sonne Key Part of a Team Effort in Titans Win

Heide Trask won the last time they faced Wallace-Rose Hill and things went their way on Friday too. The Heide Trask Titans walked away with a 74-65 victory over the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heide Trask to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matthias Sonne, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Faqeeh Harmon, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 16 points.

Wallace-Rose Hill's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of MATTHEW WELLS, who posted 17 points, and JAMARAE LAMB, who had 17 points. Another player making a difference was ASPEN BROWN, who put up nine points.

Heide Trask has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1.

Heide Trask didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-52 defeat against East Duplin on the 28th. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 72-54 win against Southeastern HomeSchool on the 28th.
