Volleyball Recap: Perry Pumas vs. Valley Vista Monsoon

Perry posted their biggest win since September 24th on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Valley Vista Monsoon as the Perry Pumas made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pumas also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-21, 25-12.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Perry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lily LaFlesch, who had 15 digs and two aces. LaFlesch is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kail Shill, who had 19 assists.

Valley Vista's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ralynn De Jesus, who had seven digs, and Julia Wilson, who had three digs and ten assists.

Perry has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-14 record this season. As for Valley Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.

Perry will face off against Chandler at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Valley Vista and Mountain Ridge will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on October 21st.
