Basketball Recap: Quinn Arundel and Delia Sullivan Secure Win for Mother Mcauley

After losing to DePaul College Prep the last time they met, Mother McAuley decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mother McAuley Mighty Macs walked away with a 47-38 win over the DePaul College Prep Rams on Saturday.

Leading Mother McAuley to victory were Delia Sullivan and Quinn Arundel. Sullivan went 6-for-10 to rack up 17 points, while Arundel posted 19 points. What's more, Sullivan also posted a 60% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in November of 2024.

DePaul College Prep's loss came despite strong showings from Lucia Trautman and Maliah Wood. Trautman went 5-for-11 on her way to 10 points, while Wood had seven points and seven rebounds. Kaitlin Totaro was another key player, putting up two points along with six boards and three steals.

Mother McAuley's record now sits at 17-12. As for DePaul College Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 17-13 record this season.

Mother McAuley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for DePaul College Prep, they will take on Prosser at 6:00 p.m. on February 17th. DePaul College Prep is facing Prosser at the right time seeing as Prosser is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
