Soccer Recap: Union Comes Up Short

Union and Research Triangle squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Union had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raptors. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, Union couldn't push the score so high this time.

Union's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9-2. As for Research Triangle, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Union nor Research Triangle have any future games scheduled.
