Softball Recap: Beatty Takes a Loss

Beatty couldn't beat Indian Springs on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the first inning. The Hornets lost 22-7 to the Thunderbirds. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jasmin Sandoval made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. Mayrin Castro was another key player, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Beatty's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Indian Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Indian Springs beat Beatty by a score of 23-8 later that day.
