Volleyball Game Preview: Queen Creek Bulldogs vs. Williams Field Black Hawks

The Queen Creek Bulldogs will take on the Williams Field Black Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Queen Creek came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Red Mountain. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Mountain Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

While Queen Creek was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Williams Field had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Lions as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Williams Field never let Liberty on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-12, 25-23.

Queen Creek better focus on containing Tragdon Jenkins and Luke Nguyen as the pair were huge in Williams Field's win. Jenkins had ten digs and two assists, while Nguyen had 12 assists and three digs. That's the most assists Nguyen has posted over his last five matches. Nicholas Hostetler also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Williams Field pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Queen Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
