Football Game Preview: Mt. Markham Mustangs vs. Notre Dame Jugglers

The Mt. Markham Mustangs will head out to take on the Notre Dame Jugglers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Mt. Markham is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 42 points two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Dolgeville on Friday. The contest between the Mustangs and the Blue Devils didn't end well, with the Mustangs falling 26-7. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame entered their tilt with Herkimer on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 22-16 W against the Magicians.

Mt. Markham's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Notre Dame, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Everything came up roses for Mt. Markham against Notre Dame in their previous meeting back in October of 2019, as the team secured a 67-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
