Baseball Recap: Crosby-Ironton Comes Up Short

Crosby-Ironton was the 6-3 winner over Moose Lake/Willow River when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rangers fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 11-10 on Friday.

Andrew Taylor was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

Crosby-Ironton's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Moose Lake/Willow River, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Crosby-Ironton will welcome Pillager at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rangers are facing the Huskies at the right time seeing as the Huskies are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Moose Lake/Willow River, they will head out to challenge Kelley at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
