Riggs (Pierre, S.D.) as it put eight more points on the scoreboard to secure its victory over Mitchell (S.D.) 48-7.
After taking the lead on a kick return touchdown by
Austin Christopherson in the first quarter, the Governors led 34-0 at the half.
Mitchell's lone touchdown came on a 27-yard pass from Kanin Nelson to Ethan Jones in the third quarter.
The loss comes after Mitchell defeated Harrisburg 21-14 last week. The win brought Riggs' winning streak to three games. The loss broke Mitchell's two-game winning streak.
Riggs (3-0) goes up against O'Gorman in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Mitchell (2-1) locks horns with Spearfish also in a non-conference game.
