Basketball Recap: Timpson Comes Up Short

If Timpson was feeling good fresh off their 52-26 takedown of Sabine on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Timpson Bears took a 36-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saltillo Lions on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 734th, while the Lions are ranked 295th).

Timpson has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Saltillo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timpson will face off against Gary at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saltillo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Douglass at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
