Baseball Recap: Bishop LeBlond Comes Up Short

Bishop LeBlond lost against Mid-Buchanan back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bishop LeBlond got a good showing from Landyn Woolery, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Woolery a new career-low in walks (zero).

At the plate, Jake Winkelbauer was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one double.

Bishop LeBlond now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Mid-Buchanan, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop LeBlond will head out to face off against Plattsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mid-Buchanan, they will face off against Odessa at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
