Baseball Recap: Platte Valley Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Platte Valley can now relate to. They fell just short of the Denver Christian Thunder by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Platte Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Hunt, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Platte Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Denver Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Platte Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Denver Christian, they will square off against Forge Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Fury will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Thunder surely won't give up without a fight.
