Soccer Recap: Laurens Takes a Loss

After flying high against Southside last Thursday, Laurens came back down to earth. The Laurens Raiders came up short against the Wren Hurricanes on Monday, falling 14-0. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Hurricanes from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Laurens dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Wren, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Coming up, Laurens will challenge Westside at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wren, they will face off against Pendleton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wren is facing Pendleton at the right time seeing as Pendleton is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
