Softball Recap: Seaside Spartans vs. St. Francis Sharks
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marina, Seaside was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the St. Francis Sharks by a score of 18-13. The Spartans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Seaside got a massive performance out of Nayenne 'Josey' Hartunian, who scored five runs and stole a base while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. Ashley Jayubo was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Seaside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Seaside's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for St. Francis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
Coincidentally, Seaside and St. Francis will both be playing Greenfield the next time they take the field. The Sharks will head out to face the Bruins at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Spartans will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on the 16th.
