Preview: Orange County Fighting Hornets vs. Courtland Cougars
The Orange County Fighting Hornets will be playing at home against the Courtland Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Courtland took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Orange County, who comes in off a win.
Even though Orange County has not done well against Madison County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Orange County blew past Madison County 63-34 at home.
Among those leading the charge was Laney Fayard, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Janiyah Hackley, who scored 11 points.
Courtland kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a rough 60-23 loss at the hands of Riverbend. Courtland was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-10.
Orange County's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Courtland, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
