Softball Recap: Beaver Takes a Loss

Beaver fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Enterprise on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 9-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 on Tuesday.

Beaver got a good showing from KaBella Low, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Low has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lily Wright was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Danzee Bradshaw, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Beaver's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7. As for Enterprise, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Beaver will be playing in front of their home fans against Water Canyon at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Beavers are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Enterprise, they are taking a road trip to challenge Grantsville at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
