            Baseball Recap: Metro Tech Knights vs. Fairfax Stampede        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Central  last Monday, Metro Tech came back down to earth. Metro Tech fell  9-6 to the Fairfax Stampede on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the  7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2024.
 Miguel Pacheco was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 3-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Kristopher Soberanis, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.

 Pacheco wasn't the only one working in the  hit department: Metro Tech  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. That's the most  hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Metro Tech's record is now 2-4. As for Fairfax, their  win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-6.
While Metro Tech had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday.
