Friendswood had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Clemens Buffaloes. The Mustangs were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Buffaloes, so the Mustangs were just returning the favor.

Nadiya Shelby paced Friendswood's offense, picking up ten kills. Shelby got some help from Caroline Adams and her ten assists. Adams was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Friendswood's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Clemens, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Friendswood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Goliad on the 15th. As for Clemens, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Shadow Creek on the 15th.
