Basketball Recap: Graham Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Graham took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Bethany Community Wolves by a score of 70-62. The score was all tied up 30-30 at the break, but the Red Devils were the better team in the second half.

Micah Woods had a dynamite game, dropping a double-double with 33 points and ten boards. What's more, he posted three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Ladario Johnson was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Bethany Community lost, don't look at Quentin Leach. Despite the final result, he put up 22 points. The contest was Leach's third in a row with at least 21 points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Harvey, who scored 13 points.

Bethany Community now has a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Graham will be playing in front of their home fans against Chatham Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bethany Community, they will head out to challenge Rockingham County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
